This year we're 'Shaking It Up' as we move into our 23rd season! We've listened to your feedback, and have reimagined our awards presentations. Instead of focusing all on one single (long!) night, we're hosting three events across the year including - a Season Launch & Reveals Gathering in June; a Summer Season Big Awards Lunch in July; and the 23rd Season Finale Gala Awards Night in October. Unlike when we began the HOTY awards back in 2003, there are now many other industry dinners - mostly limited by size to venues in the Central Belt. So this is a great opportunity to make things more national, less expensive; more flexible and up-to-date.

First up this year is a the 2026 Season Launch in the striking 7th floor Nor' Loft at Market Street 'Design Hotel'. Enjoy arrival drinks and a grazing lunch overlooking the city. The event will see the 2026 Season fully launched with news and reveals, the presentation of the very first Gold Welcome Plaques, a selection of Finalist presentations, the reveal of the new Hotels of the Year Guide and more. It will set the pace for the year!

Summer Awards Season Big Lunch

Summer sees the Awards held for the first time outwith Glasgow or Edinburgh as we host the Summer Season Big Awards Lunch celebration in a gorgeous ballroom set in gardens overlooking the silvery Tay in Dundee - in the Banqueting Hotel of the Year 2025, no less - as we present a collection of seriously prestigious awards and honours. 23rd Season Finale Gala Awards Night

This year the 23rd Season Finale Gala Awards Night will be held in the capital at the Sheraton Grand Edinburgh. As always, it'll be a truly special deluxe dinner occasion when the whole process comes to an exciting climax - with glamour and emotion, and an efficient presentation system will be faster and focused. The Spring, Summer & Season Season Finale awards events structure is a permanent change. Next year the Spring Awards - mainly food and chefs - will be presented on 24th February as part of the HOTYS & ScotHot Ball. We will hold the three Seasonal Awards Events across the country in future years - these awards are, after all, national... and we're thrilled to be able look at holding big celebrations in, for example, Aberdeen, Inverness, Fife, Perthshire or southern Scotland in future.
