Hotel Blue Plaques™

ScottishHotels.info has just been announced as the brand of our new consumer guide. It'll form a key part of the program from the start of 2026 - the consumer guide of the hotel awards. Your own hotel's Blue Plaque will feature on your dedicated PowerPage on ScottishHotels.info and will be featured on the HOTYS site too, as an integrated way of widening the audience for award-winning hotels.


The plaque logo is exclusive to PRIME Members.

> The upper line is a 2-3 word 'original' opinion / endorsement of your hotel's prime quality, strength or or characteristic.

> The lower line of text is an accurate and very adaptable description / classification of your hotel type and nature.


> Both lines of text will be agreed between yourselves and the Awards.

First presentations - before Christmas 2025

Scottish Hotel Blue Plaques™ are designed to be displayed at any entrance point of welcome, including reception; or on your web pages and social media. We'll offer an external sign and a check-in desk stand sign with QR code to bring up your PowerPage on ScottishHotels.info and encouraging guest feedback.

In a world of stars and numerical rating systems, we hope these will provide you - and your prospective guest - with a way of quickly grasping what the hotel is 'all about'.

It's also a Scottish system, useful now VisitScotland no longer offer QA stars.

The plaques augment the Hotels of the Year® Scotland awards and the Scottish Hotel People Awards™ awards - and are available to PRIME Members. They will be integrated with the forthcoming consumer guide ➦ScottishHotels.info which will of course feature all award winners with priority. There is no additional fee - only a small cost price supplement if a more expensive framing option is chosen.

FIRST 2026 RECIPIENTS
In December we will list the first 20 hotels to receive a Scottish Hotel Blue Plaque for 2026 - and will feature any presentations, or your pictures, on our socials. Thereafter we'll update the Plaque Holders List monthly.
